Meet Jared Moffett, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Jared Moffett is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has the skills, experience, and caring attitude you're looking for in an orthodontist.

Education & Experience

While attending Mississippi State University, Dr. Moffett met his wife, Leslie, and the two were married following graduation in 2011.

After relocating to Jackson, MS for dental school, Dr. Moffett met Dr. Walley (who was a faculty member at the university) and realized his passion for orthodontics.

Dr. Moffett earned his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University. From there, he went on to attend dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry.

While in dental school, Dr. Moffett served as dental class president for four years and received numerous achievements including the J. Julius Ratliff Orthodontic Award, Pierre Fauchard Leadership Award, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists' Award.

In 2015, Dr. Moffett was accepted as one of four residents to the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Moffett spent three additional years training at UT, and he graduated with both his orthodontic certificate and Masters of Dental Science Degree.

Immediately following graduation, Dr. Moffett joined Dr. Walley and his team in 2019. He now practices full time with us and is also a proud faculty member at the University of Tennessee Orthodontics Residency Program.

He became an Assistant Professor in early 2023 and will be helping teach residents about clinical orthodontics and patient care.

Outside the Office

Dr. Moffett and his wife, Leslie, are now living in the Jackson area with their three young children and their dog.

When Dr. Moffett is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering in his various community roles, hunting (both in Mississippi and out west), fishing, backpacking/camping, and exercising.

He and his family are active in their church (Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church) where he is a deacon, and they are also active in their children’s school, where he is proud to serve on the school board.
